The Odin Chronicle

Sigurd Gotarson (a Viking warrior) washes ashore on a desolate rocky outcrop in the middle of the North Atlantic after his longboat sinks in a violent storm. He finds himself in the realm of an ancient starship computer that he mistakenly assumes to be Odin, the God of choice for Viking warriors. Over time he becomes the right hand of Odin in pursuit of the evil that killed off Odin's parent race. To do this will entail enabling humans to become spacefaring, and rubbing elbows with scumbag murderers, heroic firefighters, soulless CEOs, the President of the United States, alien invaders, Masters of the Universe, and an oridinary working girl.All will gain a new understanding of the term 'artificial intelligence'.
