Class Description:

Little Bakers Academy
Ages: 7–9
Program Length: 6 Months
Session Dates: August through February

Little Bakers Academy is a fun, hands-on baking program designed especially for young bakers who are ready to begin building skills and confidence in the kitchen. Created for children ages 7–9, this 6-month program introduces students to the foundations of baking and decorating through engaging, age-appropriate lessons in a supportive and creative environment.  These classes are STEM appropriate. 

This program is designed to be more than just a class — it is a stepping stone into our award-winning 4-Year Youth Baking Academy. Little Bakers Academy helps students develop the confidence, independence, and foundational kitchen skills needed to grow into more advanced baking and decorating instruction.

Class Goals:
Little Bakers Academy is designed to:

• Introduce children to the basics of baking and decorating
• Build confidence in the kitchen through hands-on learning
• Teach students how to follow directions, recipes, and simple baking processes
• Encourage creativity, patience, and pride in their work
• Develop safe kitchen habits and proper classroom behavior
• Prepare interested students for future growth into our Youth Baking Academy

What Students Will Learn:
Throughout the program, students will be introduced to:

• Basic kitchen safety and sanitation
• Measuring and using beginner baking tools
• Following simple recipes and directions
• Mixing, assembling, and preparing beginner baked goods
• Introductory decorating techniques
• Working neatly, listening carefully, and practicing patience in the kitchen
• Confidence in creating and presenting their finished projects

Program Experience:
Each class is designed to be interactive, encouraging, and developmentally appropriate for younger students. Our goal is to create a positive learning environment where children can explore baking in a way that is both educational and fun.
